The Lanyu Fashion Art Exhibition, which opened in Beijing on the 6th, combines Suzhou embroidery, silk and fashion art to weave a poetic and colorful dialogue at the National Art Museum of China.

Currently serving as a visiting professor at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, LAN Yu has presented her works at international fashion weeks such as Paris, France and New York, USA. She has built a bridge between Oriental culture and the world with her representative design vocabulary.

The exhibition is divided into two parts: Suzhou embroidery and fashion, bringing the audience a cross-border fashion feast. Su Embroidery section focuses on the designer LAN Yu, as the fifth generation of Su embroidery family,

and her mother, LAN Tanghua, the successor of Su embroidery, jointly presented 11 pieces of Su embroidery and Su embroidery installation works; The fashion section showcases 22 modern clothing works created by LAN Yu in recent years,

which take ancient Chinese poetry and paintings as the creative source, and integrate the traditional craft of Suzhou embroidery with modern fashion design, reflecting the combination of tradition and modernity.

The reporter saw on the scene that the designer took ancient Chinese poetry as the theme to create fashion art works such as "Doubt is the Milky Way falling nine days" and "Peach Blossom Burning its brilliance".

Through the fashion art shaped by non-heritage crafts such as Suzhou embroidery, pile brocade and velvet flower, the designer interpreted the life attitude of "picking chrysanthemi under the east hedge,

leisurely seeing Nanshan", "I am born to be useful. The spirit of optimism that comes back to life. Between the ancient poetry and the graceful gauze, a new time and space of beauty is displayed, allowing the audience to enjoy the beauty of Chinese writing, painting and silk.

Wu Weishan, director of the National Art Museum of China, said that in recent years, Sino-foreign cultural exchanges have shown a booming trend, and the pace of Chinese culture from "going out" to "inviting in" has been increasing,

forming a number of cultural exchange brands with Chinese characteristics and international influence. LAN Yu's fashion design has become a successful case of dialogue and exchange with contemporary Western counterparts, which allows us to see the "living" silk culture, the endless Chinese culture, and the beautiful fashion culture.

Jia Ronglin, president of the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, pointed out that fashion as an art of walking, the key lies in "timing". The so-called "time" is new every day.

"Poetic Beauty - LAN Yu Fashion Art Exhibition" 2024 Shenzhen - Milan Double City Fashion Week in Shenzhen Longhua District, which is a new attempt of cultural exchange and industrial cooperation between Shenzhen and Milan. As one of the series of brand activities of Shenzhen Design Week, the two Cities Fashion Week activity lasted for 4 days from March 19 to 22.

At the opening ceremony, Shenzhen and Milan reached a number of in-depth cooperation. Among them, the key regional construction Promotion Center of Longhua District signed cooperation agreements with the Italian China Council Foundation and the Italian Showroom Association to jointly promote the exchange and cooperation of the fashion industry.

thus accelerating the commercialization of designer brands. Longhua will also hold seven industrial docking exchanges, build a comprehensive service platform covering all links of the industrial chain, and attract international brand upstream and downstream industries to Longhua and Shenzhen.

Nanshan District opened the "Shenzhen-Milan Twin City New Fashion Art Exhibition" in Nantou Old Town on March 20, with 9 new fashion brands from Shenzhen and Milan exhibiting. At the same time, Nanshan fashion tour linkage Nantou,

Shekou, Houhai and other areas to show the full range of Nanshan style. Among them, the "Mirror of the Sky" located on the 80th floor of SIC Super International Meeting Room will bring the highest altitude "Cloud show" of this fashion week.
