This conference is mainly an attempt by Professor Li Wei in the past three years to transform traditional Chinese intangible cultural heritage handicraft research to material innovation and then to modern clothing design.

Through the innovative transformation from "materials to processes to works", the traditional weaving, dyeing and embroidery cultural genes and artists' individual work genes are integrated.

In the process of designing traditional fabrics, Professor Li Wei strives to break the time limit and emphasizes the breakthrough of expression techniques and art forms.

In this way, the traditional national culture is integrated with international fashion, so as to express the space and historical narrative in the art case.

In the year of Jia Chen Dragon, the works will symbolize the auspicious and prosperous dragon totem, using different images and techniques to design expression.

To express the connotation of traditional Chinese culture with innovative design language.

This big show mainly includes three series of "dyeing, embroidery and brocade".

The first series of Dye

The first series, "Dyeing", shows the design fusion of plant dyeing and traditional fabrics.

Inspired by the natural landscape of Yunnan, it uses the shape and color of traditional Chinese clothing to express the meaning of traditional clothing at the level of Tao, such as wandering in the natural landscape, transforming the natural realm into the realm of art.

The second Series "Embroidery"

The second series of "Embroidery", with ceremonial clothing and national clothing, academician clothing as the carrier, the use of international and fashionable design language, to show the new expression of traditional Chinese embroidery craft.

In the process of creation, Professor Li Wei cooperated with the China Silk Museum and a number of national intangible cultural heritage handicraft inheritors.

From the reproduction of cultural relics (the deer brocade of the Southern Song Dynasty, the silk gauze wrapped by the wings of the bird) to fabric innovation, and then to clothing design innovation (innovative fabrics applied to dress design), clothing design integrates intangible cultural heritage and traditional handicrafts to create a new image of Chinese national clothing.

With traditional handicrafts as the medium, create a new "Oriental vision" fashion art with Oriental implication.

The third Series "Brocade"

The third series of "Jin", one of the three famous Chinese Jin, is full of poetic expression and artistic tension in the Eastern style, which runs through the artistic concept of "carrying Dao through the instrument".

This series of works is the traditional Song brocade pattern innovative design application, showing a free and ethereal, virtual and real fusion effect.

Luo fabric studies and copies the patterned fabrics of the Southern Song Dynasty, and collects a variety of intangible cultural handicrafts on the innovative materials to realize the design transformation from ancient times to modern times.

"Clothes, heaven terrain" - nature is not beautiful, Professor Li Wei's artistic creation concept is in the heart, and through the mountains and rivers.

In her creation, there are two kinds of virtual and real realm, "tangible and intangible".

Through the medium of dynamic costume art works, we connect nature, technology, fashion and active artistic mind, and seek the unity of mind and nature in costume art works.

This is a wonderful visual feast, from which we feel the guiding, forward-looking and leading nature of the research and application of traditional clothing culture.
