Curry leads the NBA All-Star reserve team

The reserves for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game were announced, with seven finalists from each East and West, voted on by the league's 30 head coaches.

The East has 3 newcomers selected for the first time, respectively, Brunson, Bancero, Maxi, Trey Young and other people missed the list; The west is an old face, the biggest accident when the number of king double star small Sabonis, Fox lost, Owen, Harden and other veteran stars also lost.

In addition, eight teams, including the Lakers, SUNS and Clippers, each had two players named to the All-Star team.

The top eight teams in the East have at least one All-Star, and this situation is a big surprise in the West, where the fifth Kings and seventh Pelicans in the West are not selected, replaced by the bottom ranked Lakers and Warriors.

Although the Warriors only ranked 12th in the West, but Curry still maintains a very high level of competition, after regretfully missing the West starting, this selection of the reserve team is also logical, this is his 10th All-Star selection.

Brunson led the three newcomers, with Trey Young falling out

Brunson is averaging 26.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game for the New York Knicks this season.

In the previous All-Star starting lineup vote, among all Eastern backcourt players, Brunson's player vote and media vote ranked third and second respectively, and if not the fan vote was lower than Lillard, he even had a chance to become the Eastern Conference starter.

Brunson's inclusion in the bench is a logical step. As the 33rd pick in the 2018 round, Brunson became famous in the Lone Ranger, transferred to the Knicks in 2022, and gradually picked up the team after the rapid growth of the last two seasons, and was selected for the first time in his career.

Bancero is the first pick in the 2022 draft, the Magic this season temporarily ranked eighth in the East, Bancero averaged 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

In the All-Star starting team voting, Bancero ranked fifth in the Eastern Conference front court players, and now in his second career season he was named to the All-Star team for the first time, equally undisputed.

The 76ers player Maxi is the 21st show in 2020, the rookie season average data is only 8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2 assists, the last two seasons have successfully changed, become the most effective helper around Embiid, this season's average contribution of 25.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.6 assists, and successfully edged out Trey Young, and teammate Embiid was selected to the All-Star.

King double star lost election, "beads" still have a replacement opportunity

According to the voting rules of the NBA All-Star reserve team, the East and West select 7 substitutes, including two backcourt players, three frontcourt players and two players at any position, voted by the head coaches of 30 teams, and the voting results and players, media, fans voting situation there is a certain difference.

Compared with the East, the Western Conference reserve lineup competition is more fierce. Whether it is the backcourt players or the front court players, there are a certain number of All-Star "missing pearls", the King is the biggest loser.

As of now, the King with a 27-19 record ranked fifth in the West, but the young Sabonis, Fox two masters are not elected to the All-Star.

Previously, in the Western backcourt players in the starting lineup vote, Curry, Edwards ranking followed Doncic, Alexander, two people were easily selected as substitutes. SUNS star Booker edged out Fox, Irving and Harden to become one of six Western Conference backcourt players in the All-Star game.

The competition for frontcourt players in the Western Conference is just as fierce.

From the Clippers' twin stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to Lakers star Anthony Davis, there was no controversy over the three being named to the bench.

Kings star junior Sabonis averaged 19.9 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists this season, reaching a career high in many statistics, and the ranking of the starting lineup was also ahead of the Timberwolves star Towns, but in the end, the latter was selected to the All-Star team again.
