2023 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition - the national final of the third National New energy Vehicle Key Technology Skills Competition will be held in Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province on December 5.

This is a national Class of vocational skills competition held for the key technology fields of new energy vehicles in China, with a large scale and a wide range of participants, aimed at accelerating the training and selection of high-quality skilled talents in the key technology fields of new energy vehicles, building a key technology communication platform for new energy vehicles, and continuously promoting the development of China's new energy vehicle industry.

Organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the China Machinery Industry Federation, the competition theme is "Green Empowerment · Linkage Future". There are five competitions: vehicle assembly and adjustment (new energy vehicle lightweight technology direction), automotive electrical assembly and adjustment (intelligent transport technology direction), motor vehicle detection (vehicle-road coordination technology direction), automotive electrical maintenance (new energy vehicle electronic control system technology direction), intelligent vehicle maintenance (power system energy saving and emission reduction control direction).

Each event is divided into two groups: staff group and student group, both of which are two-person team competitions. Up to now, a total of 922 contestants from 30 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) have registered for the competition, and the scale and number of participants have exceeded the previous two sessions. Since the event was held in 2019, a total of 36 players have won the title of "National Technical Expert".

Liuzhou City is an important industrial town in southwest China. In recent years, it has continuously accelerated the development of the new energy automobile industry and formed the "Liuzhou model" of the promotion and application of new energy automobiles linked by government and enterprises. As of October this year, the cumulative production and sales of new energy vehicles in Liuzhou exceeded 1.7 million, and the penetration rate of new energy vehicles ranked first in the country. In 2022, the output of new energy vehicles in Liuzhou exceeded 667,000, an increase of 38.6%.

Liuzhou City vigorously promotes the construction of international new energy automobile industry highland. This year, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region government, SAIC, Liuzhou City government, and SAIC-GM-Wuling signed a framework agreement on the "125th Project" in Nanning: "One" is the construction of Guangxi new energy vehicle laboratory in accordance with national laboratory standards;

"Two" is to build a pure electric hybrid double million product group; "Five" is to build five tens of billions of independent supply chain clusters. In December 2022, the General Office of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government issued the Opinions on Supporting Liuzhou to build an International new energy Automobile industry Highland, supporting Liuzhou to build an international new energy automobile industry highland, building Guangxi Liuzhou Auto City, and boosting the high-quality development of Guangxi's automobile industry. The goal of the "Opinions" is: by 2025, Liuzhou City to complete the new energy automobile industry planning investment of more than 100 billion yuan, the whole industry chain output value of more than 500 billion yuan, the annual sales volume of new energy vehicles exceeds 3 million, and the output value of vehicle enterprises exceeds 270 billion yuan; Drive the industrial chain to achieve output value of more than 230 billion yuan;

Build Guangxi New energy Vehicle Laboratory and strive to become a national laboratory and other major scientific and technological innovation platform, and cultivate a team of academicians.

In recent years, Liuzhou City has comprehensively deepened the reform of the construction of industrial workers, and the team of skilled talents has been growing. According to incomplete statistics, by the end of 2022, the total number of skilled talents in Liuzhou is about 595,500, of which the total number of highly skilled talents is about 131,100, and Zheng Zhiming, the chief skill expert of Guangxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd. was elected as the "Great Power Craftsman of the Year" in 2022, becoming the first "great power craftsman" in Guangxi.

In addition, Liuzhou City set April 26 every year as "Liuzhou Enterprise Day" and "Liuzhou Artisan Day", taking the lead in the establishment of Liuzhou Artisan College in Guangxi, and is committed to creating a "artisan college + vocational college + enterprise artisan school" high-skill talent training structure.
