Burst! Us Osprey transport plane crashes into sea in Japan, killing 8 people

According to Japan's NHK on November 29, a U.S. military "Osprey" transport plane carrying 8 people crashed into the sea near Yakushima Island, Japan.

The report quoted Japan's 10th regional maritime security headquarters as saying that the incident occurred at about 14:27 local time on the 29th, with eight people on board. Japanese Defense Ministry sources said that the "Osprey" transport aircraft fell from the US Yokota base.

Kagoshima Prefecture police said that 29 afternoon received an alarm message, "Yakushima near the sea of an 'Osprey' transport plane left engine fire fell."

Japan's coast guard said it had found possible debris from the crash near the area, but had seen no signs of human activity.
