Aware of the change in the wind of China and the United States, the Netherlands released the acquisition of Chinese enterprises, the United States face, do not look at it for the time being

The Dutch government recently approved the acquisition of Dutch Semiconductor company by a Chinese company. Before this acquisition, the Dutch side has been hesitant, afraid of wolves and tigers, and now so simply made a decision, or quite unexpected. Perhaps for the Netherlands, after sensing a change in the wind between China and the United States, the Netherlands does not need to listen to the face of the United States for a while.

Recently, the Dutch government approved the acquisition of a Dutch semiconductor company (Nowi) by a Chinese company, Anshi Semiconductor. Until now, the Dutch side has been claiming that the deal could "endanger national security", so it needs to conduct a detailed investigation. Back and forth. The deal was put on hold.

After a year-long investigation, the Dutch government finally gave the green light to the takeover today. In this regard, a senior official of the Dutch government, Adrian Ansens, said that after a careful investigation, the Dutch side believes that the company that ANSy Semiconductor wants to acquire, its key technologies and operations do not involve military secrets and do not pose a threat to the national security of the Netherlands. So there is no objection from the Dutch side."

It is understood that Anshi Semiconductor Company is a Chinese company located in the Netherlands, the main business is battery replacement chips. The company's main product is able to collect energy from various environments to fully charge batteries, and this technology has a wide range of applications in a number of fields.

The company also has another identity, is a subsidiary of China's domestic chip giant - Wentai Technology. Ahn Se Semiconductor was also acquired by Muntae. Now, after the completion of the acquisition of Dutch semiconductor companies, Wentai Technology's semiconductor layout in the Netherlands is more perfect, and it has also brought high-quality soil for the breakthrough of domestic chips. But this is not an easy step for us.

In recent years, the United States has tightened sanctions on China in an attempt to curb the development of Chinese enterprises. In October last year, the United States took aim at China's chip industry, imposing sweeping export restrictions on American chips and manufacturing tools to China. This year, the Biden administration has repeatedly introduced new regulations and conducted an all-round encirclement and interception of China.

The United States not only does this "immoral thing" on its own, but also has to pull its Allies along. In recent years, the United States has repeatedly blocked the export of chip and semiconductor technology from the Netherlands to China. In this context, the Dutch side has stressed that its technology exports are in line with international trade rules and the freedom of private economic activities, and should not be subject to political interference and restrictions. The Dutch government and enterprises also said that they will continue to uphold the principle of legal compliance, according to market demand and commercial interests, technical cooperation with China.

You know, the Netherlands can be said to be far ahead in chip manufacturing. Asml of the Netherlands dominates the market for the lithography machines that are at the heart of making chips. These multi-million dollar machines use powerful lasers to create the chip's tiny circuits.

But in the U.S. strategy, these high-tech products are not allowed to be exported to China. The United States stubbornly believes that China may use Dutch semiconductor technology to develop its own military power, thus threatening the "national security of the United States."
