This is a very special journey

In this premium workshop series, Lesage tries to mix bright red, orange, yellow, green and other multi-color woven threads to add vitality to the long coat.

The innovation of Lemarie Camellia and Featherhouse is amazing. Camellia flowers made from a variety of novel materials and techniques such as metal, leather and feathers are cleverly decorated on top of knit bottoms, tank tops, turtleneck sweatshirts and loose t-shirts.

Many of the denim styles on the show came from longtime partner FashionArt, a denim clothing manufacturer that was just taken under CHANEL's wing last month, and gave denim fabrics a sophisticated and luxurious texture through laser cutting, 3D printing, jacquard, added embroidery or tweed.

The charm of the workshop also lies in the fact that many details need to be seen up close to be stunning, such as this coat decorated with tiny flowers, each white petal of which is presented by Montex Embroidery Workshop with hidden embroidery on top of the full beading, so that the decoration and the fabric itself become one.

At the end of the show, a series of black and white twill and black dresses brought us back to the origin of CHANEL's style, while the chest was soft and delicate like fabric, and the bowtie that shook with the pace was actually created by a large area of rhinestones, once again reaffirming the craftsmanship of its senior workshops.

The accessories on the runway this season were equally spectacular, with long beaded necklaces in Grandma's green, turquoise and coral dazzling, while exotic pearls, black pearls and wooden beads added further emphasis to the collection.

The classic elements of CHANEL and tools commonly used in advanced workshops have also become metal accessories embellished on the chest and waist, interlocking to form a breastplate or belt chain, and like African folk talisman, collision during walking makes a crisp sound, adding a sense of ceremony to the simple shape.

The lion is not only Gabrielle Chanel's own constellation and lifelong favorite decorative element, but also an important symbol in the national emblem of Senegal, symbolizing strength, but also symbolizing the main ethnic group of the local Wolof.

Goossens Gold and silver jewelry shop recreates the majestic majesty of the lion's head, while setting red and green gems on both sides, corresponding to the color of the Senagar flag, green represents agriculture, plants and forests, while red is a metaphor for the blood of soldiers fighting for independence and freedom.

In line with the show invitation, the map of the African continent also appeared in the accessory element, and the exquisite craftsmanship of Goossens gold and silver jewelry shop made it three-dimensional on the necklace, earrings and rings, like a pool of melted gold liquid, smoothly delineating the bright light of the African land.

The creation of the Haute Artisan series began with a chance conversation with Bruno Pavlovsky, president of CHANEL's Global Boutique department: "I asked Karl Lagerfeld what we could do as CHANEL to make these artisan workshops more well-known and to make their expertise known and recognized."

Lagerfeld's answer is to create a new series of premium artisans called Metiers d 'Art, which launches every December and takes their virtuoso skills to the world again and again.

Since 2002, at the end of each year, the CHANEL Premium Workshop series will arrive as scheduled.

In fact, as early as the middle of the last century, many of these workshops have begun to cooperate with Ms. Chanel herself, such as Goossens gold and silver jewelry shop in 1953 became the official supplier of CHANEL; Massaro Shoes created the first two-tone shoes for CHANEL in 1957; Desrues designed the first button for Gabrielle Chanel in 1965...

For more than half a century, these historic and unique workshops have added to CHANEL collection after collection, fulfilling the most demanding and idealistic aesthetic aspirations of every creative helms from Gabrielle Chanel to Karl Lagerfeld to Virginie Viard.

When the gears of time travel in the fast-moving fashion system of the 21st century, the road ahead of these traditional workshops also goes further through the CHANEL advanced workshop series.

From the first collection in 2002, Lesage Embroidery Workshop, Desrues Fashion Jewellery Workshop, Lemarie Camellia and bouillon Workshop, Maison Michel Hat Workshop and Massaro Footwear Workshop have been involved, and over the following two decades, The addition of Goossens Gold and Silver jewelry Workshop, Montex Embroidery Workshop, Causse Glove workshop, Lognon ruffle Workshop, and Barrie Knitting Workshop allows the splendid handicraft from the last century to continue, and also provides infinite possibilities for CHANEL's creative world.

Today, CHANEL has nearly 40 high-end workshops and factories, more than 6,600 craftsmen of different ages and backgrounds, of which 11 high-end workshops have gathered in the le19M building located in the 19th district of Paris and Aubervilliers town junction. To work in a more modern and efficient way with CHANEL Creative Studio and other well-known fashion brands around the world.

The show is over, but as Virginie Viard said earlier, behind the event was a series of rich and in-depth conversations. In January 2023, the superior Workshop of CHANELle19M will travel to Dakar to promote the rich variety of embroidery and weaving techniques, promote the inheritance of skills, and help the general public, school-age children, students, families and artisans to increase their understanding of related professions.

At this point, CHANEL, senior workshop and Dakar, together to write a story about the same life and common breath, and now, just the beginning of the chapter.
