Why is FENDI Baguette still a favorite among chic girls

After 25 years, why is FENDI Baguette still a favorite among chic girls?
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Baguette, FENDI held a fashion show in New York.

It was the first major show of New York Fashion Week and a special celebration of Baguette handbags.

Earlier, supermodel Linda Evangelista reunited with photographer Steven Meisel to shoot a special series of Baguette bags to warm up the event.

"I didn't want to do a traditional 'collection' for the anniversary. Rather, it's a celebration of an era, of the Baguette's moment of fame. I associate that time with a great sense of freedom and fun -- both qualities that a Baguette has." Says Kim Jones, artistic director of womenswear at FENDI.

And so, he brought us this extraordinary celebration.

First of all, the most discussed topic of this show is co-branding.

Kim Jones, together with Silvia Venturini Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Tiffany & Co., Sarah Jessica Parker and Porter, collaborated on a new interpretation of the Baguette handbag collection.

They deconstructed the Baguette bag, simplifying the basic use of the bag with the thematic concept of multiple pockets throughout.

The concept of Baguette is integrated into the collection by drawing inspiration from the Baguette itself, the changes of The Times, the personal spirit and the regional characteristics.

You can find Baguette bags everywhere, in all shapes and sizes on different items, on gloves, hats, dresses and even the new handbag itself.

By contrasting the grand dimension of the 90s with the rebirth of Baguette today, Marc Jacobs incorporated strong contrast into his design, creating ready-to-wear and accessories with strong personal characteristics for the show.

Inspired by the New York cityscape, he designed pieces such as umbrella dresses, cellophane opera capes and denim jackets, and made use of the glass facades and worker safety vests that are ubiquitous on the streets of New York, mixing sequins with fluorescent colors and seasonal pieces.

In his signature recycled leather straw hat with his own characteristics, he also cleverly integrates Baguette elements, which is very personalized and vividly interprets the FENDIROMA in his heart.

The encounter between Tiffany & Co. and FENDI is more like the intersection of two magnificent buildings.

The legendary New York brand interprets the Baguette in its most precious and important way, using elements such as sterling silver, enamel, crocodile skin, white gold and diamonds to give the bag a new charm.

Bella Hadid's Tiffany Blue Baguette is made from diamond-encrusted alligator skin by Tiffany & Co. The iconic colors are integrated into the whole collection, which is smart and bright.

Tiffany & Co. also brought FENDI a Baguette made entirely of point-like sterling silver, hand-crafted by artisans over the course of four months.

The bag is engraved with the lily, the national flower of Italy, and the rose, the state flower of New York, symbolizing the significance of both places to the Baguette.

This is also the first time FENDI's "hand in hand" project has gone abroad, with Tiffany & Co. The top process standards to explain FENDI's advanced concept.

As the "noble" of Baguette, Sarah Jessica Parker also teamed up with Silvia Venturini Fendi to design this handbag with her red.

With his passion for degrade glitter embroidery, the series has been transformed into four colors of purple, mustard green, light pink and light blue in the form of interchangeable buckles to better meet people's different wearing scenes and matching needs.

In contrast, Japanese luggage brand Porter is bringing a new quality to Baguette bags.

Porter is known for its wear-resistant nylon, so it also brings practicality to the Baguette, creating a unique neutral and handsome texture, and precision workmanship, making the bag light yet functional.

The luxury atmosphere of Bum Baguette has become the new incarnation of Baguette in the Porter series.

At Baguette's 25th anniversary show, the designers combined the spirit of Z-era wear with the classic Baguette handbag.

The combination of varied forms and different fabrics gives Baguette a unique charm like modern installation art.
