In the MSU World Video encoder Competition FullHD competition, Tencent266, the latest generation of video encoder developed by Tencent, achieved the first place in 12 of the 15 key indicators, and the first total number was the most in the whole game;

And in all VVC encoders in 15 indicators all first. In addition, Tencent266 also achieved the highest number one total in 10bit / 4K/subjective competitions, proving that Tencent266 can bring better picture quality with lower bandwidth for users in different application scenarios.

Tencent Cloud has fully supported the new generation of international codec standards in July 21, which is the first time that the standard is commercially available on the cloud, filling the gap in the field of global cloud manufacturers.

Tencent266 launched Tencent Cloud live streaming in early 23, and Tencent Cloud became the first cloud manufacturer in the industry to support VVC live streaming.

Tencent Multimedia Lab has participated in the development of many international and national standards on behalf of Tencent, including H.266 / VVC, MPEG-5 EVC, MPEG PCC, MPEG Systems, IETF, 3GPP, national standards AVS2 & AVS3, AOMedia standard AV2, etc. We have achieved breakthrough results, with more than 800 technical proposals adopted by international national standards and more than 1,000 patents granted.

Dozens of laboratory experts served as co-chairs of working groups/thematic groups, co-editors of standards, directors and other key positions.
