(Lake Tanganyika)

Lake Tanganyika is a freshwater lake in central Africa between (3°20 'S,29°5' E) and (8°48 'S,31°15' E). Lake Tanganyika is located in the western Rift section of the Great Rift Region of East Africa. It is a fault lake. The lake's winding shoreline stretches for 1,900 kilometers.

The main rivers into the lake are Malagalasi River, Ruzizi River, Kalambo River and so on. The lake's outlet is the Lukuga River.

It is about 679 kilometers long from north to south, with an average width of 50.134 kilometers, including 1,828 kilometers of shoreline (average depth 570 meters), the deepest is located in the north of Lake Tanganyika, and the deepest is 1,470 meters, second only to Lake Baikal, which is the second deepest lake in the world. With an area of 32,900 km², it is the sixth largest lake in the world.

(Kariba Lake)

Lake Kariba, located on the Zambezi River, is a lake in central Africa and the second largest man-made lake in the world. Between Zambia and Zimbabwe, 369 km from Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, there is now a dam.

Lake Kariba is also the main fishing ground for the two southern African landlocked countries of Zinzan. Kariba Lake is rich in African crucian carp and small silver fish is also the local favorite aquatic products.

The main organ is 122 meters high and 1,800 meters wide. The waterfall is divided into five strands by the island and falls into a pool only 400 meters wide.

It makes such a loud noise that the water mist is blown hundreds of meters into the air by the wind and can be heard as far as 20 kilometers away.

This is why the locals call it Mosivatoa Nja, which means "rain mist that sounds like thunder." And at sunrise and sunset, under the sun, a colorful and endless rainbow flies between the cliffs. Therefore, the local land is known as "Xiangguo", which means "rainbow house".
