Milan Fashion Week follows London Fashion Week.

The fashion week, which began in 1958, was described by CNN Style as: "In London, you always see a subtle, potentially punk soul, but Milan is very different, people think of it as super sophisticated, very glamorous."

Less characteristic and more influenced by Paris, couldn't the same description of Milan be applied to Paris Fashion Week?

A few years ago, Milan Fashion Week looked worried. Some of the biggest local fashion houses, such as Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci, show outside Milan Fashion Week.

In the end, the Italian Fashion Chamber had to make new appointments to boost confidence. The association has also appointed new directors, including Prada executive Patrizio Bertelli.

The real change came in 2013 when Giorgio Armani joined the Italian Fashion Chamber of Commerce to help boost the vitality of Milan Fashion Week. In the past, Armani has refused to join the chamber, as have Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. But after Armani's statement, almost all high-end brands began to release new products in Milan.

Emporio Armani presented its Spring/Summer 2015 collection in Milan as part of Milan Fashion Week

Armani also issued a statement that it would be good to improve the industry's plight, and he encouraged all Italian brands to return home. For such a respected designer, he has every reason to think about how to help the industry as a whole, but for emerging designers, it is somewhat of a dilemma.

But regional loyalists, who seem to be growing in numbers across the industry, still don't understand why MiuMiu is launching in Paris.

But why do you think?

Or Paris?

In 1973, Paris Fashion Week was reorganized under the French Fashion Federation, and the status of Paris Fashion Week remains unassailable. People still see "Paris launch" as a status symbol.

"You can be a genius in London, but in the end you have to put on a show in Paris for real international status."

Didier Grumbach, head of the French federation. This is the consensus in the industry. Brands that launch in Paris typically include Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Valentino, Balenciaga, Lavin and Celine.

In New York, autumn and winter are released in February, spring and summer are released in September, and in Paris, it is almost March and October. Just as Paris is the ideal place to launch new products, big names that can make money like Paris brands are the ideal of almost all designer brands.

Some fashion critics see the Paris Fashion Week brands as evocative but ultimately safe collections, with a touch of youthful culture in the mix. But thanks to this, Saint Laurent's sales last year were better than ever, up 27%.

At the same time, Paris is often a selling point for designers to promote themselves. But in fact, the whole city of Paris is like a big trade show during fashion Week.

So it wasn't too difficult to launch a new collection in Paris, because it wasn't a runway show. When Paul Smith presented his first womenswear show at New York Fashion Week in 1990, he said he was nervous because "after all, I've only shown in Paris."

Less big brands like Acne and visvim also rent private showrooms where they launch static shows, while more concentrated fairs see hundreds of smaller brands.

It should be noted that Paris also hosts haute Couture fashion Week, which has been around since at least 1945.
