Brown finally got what he wanted

In the '16 NBA Finals, the Cavaliers and Warriors were engaged in a fierce battle. Jaylen Brown, who was not in the league at the time, witnessed the scene and said confidently to the camera: "I will play here later."

Now, eight years later, he has kept his word. In fact, he achieved that goal two years ago, but he didn't win.

This season, Brown finally got what he wanted, he not only used his carry performance to help the team win the championship, but also climbed the peak in personal honor, becoming the first player in NBA history to win the Eastern Finals MVP+ Finals MVP. (He was only three points shy of All-Star MVP.)

Absolutely fantastic, peak, perfect summer.

Of course, all this honor is not achieved overnight, because the muscles will not automatically climb to your body, the shooting feel will not automatically get better, and the fighting spirit will not become stronger for no reason. Brown has honed himself every summer since entering the league, then bulked up, toned up, and been unstoppable.

He entered the league as the third overall pick in the '16 draft.

"You're going to be one of the best players Boston has ever had," Groesbeck told Brown on draft night as fans booed him.

Defense was once Brown's famous skill, he and George, Leonard, Butler's development trajectory is very similar, to defense, gradually develop offensive skills, slowly infiltrate their influence in the team and even the league.

Excellent physical quality to Brown has brought the top single defense level, in the previous green army system, Stevens once put him in the fourth and fifth positions, with less than two meters of height to fight against the other side's big center, individual defense ability can be seen.

Of course, any aspiring player is not content to only rely on defense and open shots to help the team, and Brown has planted a seed in his heart to become a superstar.

19 years is an important time for Brown, he participated in the Men's Basketball World Cup with the United States team, accumulated important experience on the court; Listen to McGrady, learn to attack with the ball.

The effect was immediate, as Brown increased his presence on the offensive end of the team from the start of the 19-20 season, allowing him to average more than 20 points per game for the first time.

The following season, Brown further improved his ball-handling ability and began to show his ability to handle the Celtics' various offensive tactics, shooting spot-up jumpers after various dazzling passes; In the high position, he cut free to use his long arm to grab the frontcourt rebound, increase the offensive opportunity,

And, uh, holding singles in positional warfare.

It's not top notch, but it's a lot better than before.

In the 20-21 season, Brown steadily improved, even averaging 24.7 points per game. But unfortunately, he missed the playoffs with an injury,

However, in the 21-22 season, he and the team reached the finals for the first time.

Looking back now, it is a tragic journey to break through the siege. Facing the Nets in the first round, the 4-0 sweep seemed easy, but the points difference was not more than 10 points in each game.

The second round tie-break eliminated the defending champion Bucks, the Celtics are united, Horford, Gewei led the anti-letter armor to do their best, Brown is also in the outside implementation of the attack.

In the Eastern Conference win over the Heat, Brown scored 40 points in the G3.

Although they eventually lost to the Warriors in the Finals, it was a valuable experience for the young Celtics and Brown.

In 22-23, with the experience of last year's successful finals, the Green Army brought in Brogden in the 18th championship, and Brown had his best regular season performance since joining the league.

He played a career-high 35.9 minutes per game, scored 26.6 points and grabbed 6.9 rebounds, a personal best, and had two outstanding playoff runs.

But in the Eastern Conference finals with the Heat, Brown surrendered a true shooting rate of less than 50%, and only 8 of 23 in the tiebreak. The Green Army was also eliminated by the crazy heat.

After six years of no harvest, the public began to lack patience, and in such a long wait, doubts began to surface.

While they did make the playoffs every year, with the minimum and toughness to go from the 11th place in the Eastern Conference to the Finals, the top end always got into trouble.

Brown and the Green Army seem to be on the verge of falling apart. Go or stay?

At the critical moment, management still gave Brown the greatest trust, a five-year $307 million contract, allowing him to be bound to the team for a long time.

Then trade for Kristaps Porzingis and Holiday, completely righting White.

Stevens' right decision benefited the team greatly, so there is now the result.

Having done it, he was on top of the basketball world.
