New York, some buyers and fashion editors will fly to London. London Fashion Week, which began in 1984, has been celebrated by British celebrities, royalty and politicians, including even Margaret Thatcher, known as the "Iron Lady", who expressed special concern for fashion week in the 1980s.

In the first season of London Fashion Week, John Galliano released his graduation show

. His graduation show was praised as amazing, "showing the soul of freedom," and it almost became the tone after London Fashion Week.

In 1992, Alexander McQueen debuted.

Several young designers and McQueen are regarded as the future designer stars by the British people, and London also launched the NEWGEN platform.

People realise that London Fashion Week is not like any other fashion week.

McQueen released the Spring/Summer 1994 "Nihilism" collection at London Fashion Week.

Since then, a number of awards, including the Fashion Fringe, have been launched during London Fashion Week to support emerging designers.

The Chinese designer Wang Haizhen has won a prize, and he has been funded for five years.

The first five years are usually the toughest for emerging designers.

The British Fashion Council has also funded London's showroom project, which in the past has allowed the likes of Craig Green, J.W. Anderson and Christopher Kane to sell their latest collections to international buyers.

At the turn of the century, London Fashion Week looked wobbly.

There are still new designers coming out, but after Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen and Matthew Williamson, who have benefited from London Fashion Week in the past, started showing abroad, there were fears that London Fashion Week would lose its international stature.

Burberry decided to return to London from Milan in 2009.

These commercially successful fashion brands always help fashion Week become more widely known.

Common methods include commercial endorsements and shows with celebrities, whose photos are circulated with editors of magazines like Vogue.

That year, Matthew Williamson, Jonathan Saunders and Amanda Wakeley also returned to London.

Christopher Kane continued to walk in London after his success.

While most people still believe that "the way to go international is through the Paris system," the shift has given new cities more confidence.

For now, London's position at the four major fashion weeks is quite secure.

The news, though, is still mostly about new designers emerging, including some from China.

In a 1986 London Fashion Week report, Drapers wrote: "If it comes to young, innovative fashion, the British are the best at it."

None of this has changed.

London Fashion Week always impresses attendees with more than just one runway.

After returning to their home city, they often marvel at meeting people there: in addition to the huge main runway, people can also spontaneously walk in the restaurants and bars.
