"2023 International Industry-University-Research and Application Cooperation Conference" - Data Science Application and Innovation Development sub-venue activities were held in Guizhou University of Finance and Economics. With the advent of the era of big data, data has become an important strategic resource, and international cooperation in the application and innovation of data science is of great significance. On October 26, at the 2023 International Industry-University-Research and Application Cooperation Conference, the School Planning, Construction and Development Center of the Ministry of Education agreed to establish the "Data Science and Application Discipline Alliance" led by Guizhou University of Finance and Economics.
Guizhou University of Finance and Economics was founded in 1958. After long-term construction, the university has formed a professional system of "one body and two wings" with economics and management as the main subject, science and technology and grammar as the two wings, and education, sociology, art, physical education and journalism and communication as the characteristics. It is a provincial economic management talent training base constructed by Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and provincial government. In recent years, the school has actively served the national big data development strategy and helped Guizhou seize new opportunities in implementing the digital economy strategy.
It is understood that the "Data Science and Application Discipline Alliance" is jointly built by seven provinces (municipalities) including Jiangxi, Guizhou, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Chongqing and Xizang. With the theme of "pluralistic cooperation, openness and win-win" and the core goal of "gathering talents and solving problems", the alliance aims to build a mechanism for academic exchange and cooperation and sharing between Chinese and foreign universities, research institutes and enterprises. We will continue to promote the high-quality development of international industry-university-research cooperation in the field of data science, and strive to build a new pattern of high-level opening up and win-win cooperation.
Zhan Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, said in his speech that Guizhou University of Finance and Economics will work with relevant parties to earnestly implement the work requirements of the Alliance charter, and promote the complementary advantages of the relevant disciplines of universities, universities and research, resource sharing, mutual promotion and common progress, innovative application and overall improvement. At the event, the participating leaders successively awarded licenses to 10 vice chairman units and 40 governing units of the "Data Science and Application Discipline Alliance". Subsequently, Li Ping, former director of the School Planning, Construction and Development Center of the Ministry of Education, Deng Hui, President of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, CAI Chengtao, director of the National Engineering Laboratory of e-Government Modeling and Simulation, and Dean of the School of Computer Science and Software of Harbin Engineering University, Mr. Hong Yongmiao, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Developing Countries, Member of the World Econometrics Association and Special Dean of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered keynote speeches respectively.
In addition, the event also set up seven theme sub-forums, including "Development prospects of data science application", "Deep integration and innovation of digital economy and real economy", "innovation and development of big data industry", "Data elements enabling governance and innovation", "smart agriculture", "data computation and application" and "Development of" East Number and West calculation ". Participating experts, scholars and enterprise representatives will conduct in-depth discussions on hot and cutting-edge issues in the field of data science.
