On December 2, 2023, it was organized by Publicity Department of Beijing Haidian District Committee, Office of New Era Civilization Practice Center of Beijing Haidian District, Education Working Committee of Beijing Haidian District Committee, and hosted by Computer Network Information Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Co-organized by Institute of High Energy Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Space City School of High School Attached to Renmin University of China, the opening ceremony and the first phase of the fourth "Youth Science Education Group" training camp in Beijing Haidian District were held in Institute of High Energy Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Wang Yi, Vice Minister of Propaganda Department and Director of Civilization Office of Haidian District Party Committee; Zhang Jun, Director of Propaganda Department of Education and Work Committee of Haidian District Party Committee; Wang Runqiang, Director of New Media Department of Computer Network Information Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences; Wang Huan, Director of Party Committee Office of Institute of High Energy Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences;

Jia Yinghua, deputy director of the Office of the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Angel, director of the Moral Education Department of the High School Attached to Renmin University of China, attended the activity, and more than 50 high school students participated in the training camp.

In his speech, Vice Minister Wang Yi introduced the background and purpose of the Haidian District "Youth Science Information Group" training camp, and announced the opening of the fourth "Youth Science Information Group" camp.

Minister Wang pointed out that as a nomination event for innovative cases of ideological and moral construction of minors in the capital in 2023, the "Youth Science Lecture Group" aims to be comprehensive, diversified, scientific, and effective.

Improve the scientific literacy and the ability of science communication of teenagers in Haidian District. I hope the students who participate in the training can gain something here.

After the launch ceremony, all participants first visited the museum and history hall of the Institute of High Energy Physics, watched the Beijing Electron Positron Collider model, relevant introduction materials and major scientific research achievements of the Institute of High Energy Physics, learned about the development of the Institute of High Energy physics, and felt a strong scientific atmosphere.

In the training session, Mr. Zhang Chuang, a researcher and former deputy director of the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and editor-in-chief of Modern Physics Knowledge, first brought a scientific speech entitled "From the Beijing Electron Positron Collider to Glory - the Tour of large scientific devices of the High Energy Institute" to the students.

The report explained the structural composition, working principle, key technologies and research achievements of the Beijing Electron Positron Collider in a simple way, and told the story of the brilliant start from the high energy Institute to the Beijing Electron Positron Collider, which deeply attracted the students present.
