On December 1, the 2023 Tengchong Scientists Forum, co-sponsored by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and the China Association for Science and Technology, opened. More than 100 academicians, more than 20 presidents of world-renowned universities, more than 500 experts and scholars, and more than 300 heads of enterprises and financial institutions gathered in Tengchong, with "Science and technology leading the future" as the theme and "Science and green development" as the theme. Academician Gu Binglin and Academician Xu Zhihong are the winners of the first Tengchong Science Prize awarded by Dennis Lo, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Professor Zhang Feng of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
