Recently, the sixth meeting of the Standing Committee of the 18th Municipal People's Congress reviewed the report of the Law enforcement inspection group of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress on the implementation of the "One Law and one Regulation" on the inspection of the popularization of science and technology.

Judging from the inspection results, the implementation of the "One Law and One Regulation" has been generally in place and achieved obvious results, providing a legal guarantee for comprehensively promoting universal science popularization and accelerating the realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance.

In 2022, the proportion of citizens with scientific literacy in Tianjin will reach 18.68%, 5.75 percentage points higher than the overall national level, ranking third in the country.

At present, the city has 37 national science popularization education bases, 5 national characteristic science popularization bases, and 251 municipal science popularization bases, covering various types of science popularization venues, scientific research and education, industrial enterprises, industrial parks, etc., to carry out social public welfare services for the public, with an annual reception of more than 18 million people.

There are 28 newly identified municipal scientists' spiritual education bases, of which 8, including the physical Scientists' spiritual education base of Nankai University, have been rated as national scientists' spiritual education bases.

46 social science popularization demonstration bases have been built to bring high-quality science popularization resources to the people.

At the same time, the integration of science popularization and cultural tourism is increasing.

Tianjin Science and Technology Museum, Natural History Museum, National Marine Museum, Binhai Science and Technology Museum, etc., give full play to the advantages of science popularization resources, create interactive scenes, and provide better science popularization services for the masses, especially young people.

Four district-level science and technology museums in Binhai, Wuqing, Beichenand Dongli have been built (or rebuilt) and operated successively, serving 1.47 million people since the "14th Five-Year Plan", and Nankai, Dongli, Jinnan, Beichenand Wuqing districts have been approved as national science popularization demonstration Zones in 2021-2025.

We will make good use of the 5,266 grass-roots Party and mass service centers and 1,778 civilized practice centers in the new era, so that the public can feel science at close range, participate in science,

and get close to science, and gather the great power of self-reliance in high-level science and technology with a social atmosphere of loving science and advocating innovation.
