(Hammamet)

Kairouan is located in central Tunisia, 155 km from the capital Tunis. With a long history and typical Arab architecture, Kairouan was once the capital of the Islamic Agrabit dynasty and is now known as the fourth holiest place in Islam after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem.

After defeating the Byzantine army in three expeditions, the Arabs founded the city of Kairouan in AD 670 and completed the construction of the famous Ogba Mosque in the city over a period of five years beginning in 671. Lake Edward, formerly known as Lake Amin, was formed by the collapse of a fault and is one of the Great lakes of the East African Rift Valley.

Located on the border of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, its northern shore is just a few kilometers from the equator and is the smallest lake in Africa's Great Lakes region. Lake Edward was named by English explorer Henry Morton Stanley as a tribute to King Edward VII of England.

Murchison Falls National Park is the largest national park in Uganda, located in northwest Uganda, about 90 kilometers from Masindi, covering an area of 3,840 square kilometers. It protects an unexplored African savanna divided by the mighty Nile River.
