The South Korean badminton team announced on the 16th the lineup for the upcoming Denmark World Championships and Hangzhou Asian Games.

The head coach of the South Korean national badminton team, Kim Seok jung, confidently stated, "In order to achieve greater goals - the Asian Games and Olympics, the (South Korean team) has achieved good results in all stages so far. At the current pace, we can achieve good results that do not disappoint expectations."

According to Yonhap News Agency, before the Hangzhou Asian Games, the Badminton World Championships will be held from the 21st to the 27th, and international competitions such as the China Open will be held from September 5th to 10th. "For the South Korean team who wants to wash away the shame of having no medals at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, these are the last few races that cannot be missed.".

Jin Xuejun also predicted that the South Korean team will win medals in all seven badminton events at the Hangzhou Asian Games. The South Korean team won 7 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 8 bronze medals in 7 events at the 1000 and 750 levels of this year's Badminton World Tour, ranking second in the quarterly rankings released by the Badminton World Federation. This marks the second time in 5 years and 3 months that the South Korean team has reached this position, while the Chinese team ranks first.

The previously announced list of participants in the World Championships showed that the Chinese team, except for the women's doubles and mixed doubles, failed to secure all four spots, while the men's singles, women's singles, and men's doubles teams achieved full participation.
