Badminton World Championships Sign List Released, Main Team Absent Chinese Badminton Starlight Dim

He Bingjiao fights against the strong enemy "mortal dust" to avoid the suffering master

In this World Championships, the Chinese team has won four full participation spots in the women's singles and men's doubles events. There will be three players in the men's singles, and three spots in both the women's doubles and mixed doubles.

In the men's singles event, Chen Long and Shi Yuqi, the main men's singles players who participated in the Tokyo Olympic Games, were both absent, and Li Shifeng, the young man "after 00" who participated in the Sudiman Cup and Thomas Uber Cup, was selected. He will join hands with Lu Guangzu and Zhao Junpeng in the competition. According to the signing table, the three Chinese players are in the top half of the men's singles with top seed Kendou Taotian. Among them, Lu Guangzu's signing luck was poor, and he will face a strong opponent, Thai player Kunlawut, in the first round of the game. Li Shifeng's opponent in the first round of the competition is American player Lin Enkai, while Zhao Junpeng faces 10th seed Chinese Taipei player Prince Wei.

Olympic champion Chen Yufei did not appear on the list in the women's singles event, while He Bingjiao, Han Yue, Wang Zhiyi, and Zhang Yiman represented China in the competition. According to the signing table, He Bingjiao first played against local team Marin, and reaching the semi-finals may face top seed Chinese Taipei player Dai Ziying or defending champion Xindu.

In terms of women's doubles, the top seeded "mortal combination" Chen Chenchen/Jia Yifan avoided the Indonesian pair Boli/Lahayu who defeated them in the Olympic final, and were in the upper half with two Japanese pairs, Matsumoto Mayou/Nagahara Kakuna, and Matsuyama Naiwei/Chiyo Shida. Two other Chinese pairs, Liu Xuanxuan/Xia Yuting and Zheng Yu/Li Wenmei, are in the lower half of the district. Zheng Yu/Li Wenmei is expected to challenge Boli/Lahayu.

Mixed doubles Olympic champions Wang Yilu and Huang Dongping were absent due to fatigue injuries in consecutive competitions. Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong, along with Ou Xuanyi and Feng Xueying, have the opportunity to stage a civil war. In the semi-finals, they may face Japanese duo Yongda Watanabe and Yusha Higashino, while Guo Xinwa and Zhang Shuxian are in the lower half.

Fatigue and injuries have caused twists and turns in the list of national badminton players

Guoyu returned to Beijing in late October to begin quarantine after finishing the Danish Open. During this period, the team announced the list of participants for the December World Championships. Among the five events, except for the men's singles, three participants participated, while Guoyu had already secured four spots in each of the other four events. As expected, veteran Chen Long is still in the post Olympic adjustment stage and has not participated, but all 13 other Olympic athletes have been selected for the World Championships. Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong, who were absent from the three major cups before, will also make a comeback. Therefore, this team, led by two Olympic champions, Chen Yufei, Wang Yilu, and Huang Dongping, has a luxurious lineup for the World Championships.

However, the updated list of participants on November 10th showed that Shi Yuqi, Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen, Du Yue/Li Yinhui, He Jiting/Du Yue withdrew from the competition, while Di Zijian/Wang Chang, Dong Wenjing/Feng Xueying, Ou Xuanyi/Feng Xueying were invited to participate. On the updated list of participants on November 19th, Wang Yilu/Huang Dongping withdrew from the competition, and male singles player Li Shifeng was invited to participate. On the final list on the 29th, Olympic champion Chen Yufei was absent due to an accidental sprain of her right ankle during training, and was replaced by Zhang Yiman.
