The exhibition attempts to take the plants and animals on the Silk Road as an entry point, and according to the literature records, combined with archaeological relics and natural animal and plant specimens,

interpret the multi-dimensional cultural blending environment from the enjoyment of life, material civilization to spiritual culture and art constructed by these foreign plants and animals, and reproduce the theme of "the Silk Road changes life".

People's clothing, food, housing and transportation have the rich support of nature, which is inseparable from human life, because of this, for thousands of years, people's clothing and fashion elements, the content of nature is a frequent design. The exhibition will detail the interdependent relationship between fashion and nature from three aspects.

"Take Intentionally" will showcase clothing materials that are naturally produced, including fabrics made from picking plants and fur from hunting animals. "Saving with Heart" shows the audience that design is no longer blindly seeking from nature,

but using fashion to spread the importance of saving lives and protecting the environment to the public, and rethink, improve and innovate in clothing, and move forward to the goal of harmonious coexistence with nature with heart and love.

2021 is the third year of the Global Cheongsam Invitation Exhibition, with the theme of "nature" inviting designers from many countries and regions around the world to make cheongsam works.

Natural plant dyes, animal worship and other elements of local culture are combined with the art form of Qipao, reflecting the new trend of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

Since 2011, adhering to the original mission of "collecting today for tomorrow", the museum has insisted on selecting and collecting influential designer works and textile fabric products of that year every year, and has held an annual fashion retrospective exhibition with the theme of documenting the development and change of contemporary fashion and textile industry for 10 consecutive years.

The 2021 Fashion exhibition will be re-opened, and it is planned to take the form of a fashion yearbook, with the collection of fashion design products as the main exhibits, supplemented by fashion painting, fashion photography and new media art, to create a comprehensive fashion art exhibition.

In conjunction with the "National Silk Hanfu Festival" in 2021, it is jointly planned and exhibited by China Silk Museum and Gansu Provincial Museum.

The Military Reclamation Museum of Xinjiang Corps is a museum that mainly studies and displays the revolutionary history of Xinjiang's settlement and garrison occupation in New China.

Most of its collection of military reclamation cultural relics are the items preserved in the early days of liberation, as well as the labor, production and life of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps during the period of settlement and garrison occupation and hard work.

The "Years of the Army" exhibition is planned to take the military coats, military civilian clothes, military shirts and various textile relics such as banners collected by the Military Reclamation Museum of the Xinjiang Corps during the military reclamation period as the main exhibits,

and the corresponding restoration and protection by the China Silk Museum, and supplement the documents, images and related equipment during the military reclamation period as auxiliary exhibits.

From the three units of "memory of military reclamation", "achievements of military reclamation" and "spirit of military reclamation", the revolutionary items of the military reclamation period are displayed,

the revolutionary memory of the military reclamation period is reproduced, the revolutionary tradition and revolutionary spirit of the military Reclamation Corps are displayed with heroic struggle, fear of sacrifice, and perseverance, and the Corps spirit of hard work and selfless dedication is educated and warned to future generations.

In 2014, Qianlong Chromatography: Restoring Qing Dynasty Colors from Historical Archives was held in the Restoration Exhibition Hall, attracting many scholars, artists, designers and enthusiasts in the field of natural dyes and traditional clothing. However, due to the insufficient research of literature and cultural relics, the authenticity of some colors has caused extensive discussion, which leaves a regret.

Based on friendly suggestions and opinions from all walks of life, after 6 years of further research and experiments on dyes and dyeing in the middle Qing Dynasty, we will reconstruct the colors of silk clothing in this exhibition, presenting 40 basic colors and 150 derivative colors. Reproduce the connotation and aesthetic taste of clothing color and reconstruct traditional Chinese color.
