The NBA warns Lillard and his agents

The NBA League Office met with Lillard and his agent regarding Lillard's statement that he only wants to play for the Heat:

Lillard's agent, Goodwin, has called multiple NBA teams to warn them not to trade Lillard, as Lillard's only expectation is for the Miami Heat. Goodwin has also publicly stated that if Lillard is traded to another team, he will not fully comply with player contract requirements.

The NBA league states that any public statement about being traded to or playing for a certain team may be punished.

The league has notified 30 teams of the meeting situation and the incident warning.

The Lakers will retire James' jersey
