Zelensky: Let's talk to Trump and give him a chance

In an interview with Fox News' Benjamin Hall, Zelensky said, "Let's talk to Trump and give him a chance to say and show what steps are in his peace plan."

Zelensky said, "Yes, I'm ready. If he has a concrete peace plan, he can share it with me. Yes, if we give Donbass and Crimea to Russia, we can stop this war. But I don't think Ukraine is ready to accept such a peace plan. This is not a peace plan."

Zelenskiy also stressed that proposals containing any territorial concessions are unacceptable to the country.

Ukrainian media "Strana.ua" previously quoted sources as saying that considering the issue of future US aid to Ukraine and the possibility of former US President Donald Trump returning to the White House, Ukrainian President Zelensky is eager to hold direct talks with Trump.

Russia Today television reported that Trump publicly rejected Zelensky's invitation to visit Kiev earlier this month. Trump said at the time that the Ukrainian president was "dealing" with his opponent in the 2024 election, current US President Joe Biden, and he "didn't want to create a conflict of interest."
