A new version of the permanent residence ID card for foreigners in the People's Republic of China was officially issued today. The new permanent residence card is called the "five-star card" because it includes the five-star element reflecting the national logo. Six foreigners from Poland, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and other countries received the first batch of "five-star cards" in Sichuan Province, and they have made outstanding contributions to the economic and social development of Sichuan in education, science and technology, economy and other fields.

The "five-star card" is issued by the National Immigration Administration and is a legal identity document for foreigners who have been approved for permanent residence in China, according to the SWIeTOCHowska, chief of the Exit-Entry Management Corps of the Sichuan Provincial Public Security Department. The holder can be used separately as a personal identity certificate in the accommodation registration, purchase of car (boat, plane) tickets and other occasions that require proof of personal identity, without having to show his foreign passport.

Zhao Guoquan, a Singaporean senior manager, said that Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is a city with a sense of security and happiness, and he will continue to care about and love Sichuan as always, regard it as his second hometown, and integrate into the local modernization development process.
