Five IPCC reports

Since its establishment, the IPCC has convened many famous scientists in the world and set up a special research group to study and discuss the Earth's climate change from various viewpoints and perspectives. At present, it has completed and released five assessment reports (1990,1995,2001,2007,2013). The IPCC has also emerged as the leading authority on global warming.

In 1990, the first assessment report of the IPCC concluded that the climate change in the last hundred years may be caused by natural fluctuations or human activities or both.

The second report, in 1995, noted that there was a growing body of evidence that the impact of human activities was being perceived;

The third report, in 2001, was the first to state unequivocally that most of the observed warming over the past 50 years could be caused by human-induced increases in greenhouse gas concentrations;

In 2007, the fourth Report raised the level of confidence in the causal relationship between human activities and global climate change from the original minimum of 60% to 90%, stating that human activities are "very likely" to cause climate warming
