Achievements of Hangzhou Foreign Language School

At the same time, Hangzhou Foreign Language School also actively creates steam interdisciplinary courses based on real situations. From translation international project, cooperation with Zhejiang Teaching and Research Office and Zhejiang University,

to independent development, strengthening project-based learning and research and implementation, Hangzhou Foreign Language School has created a set of teaching design processes based on "science + engineering" thinking.

"Through the construction of this whole curriculum system, as well as the organization and development of various exploratory activities, we hope that students can obtain better science education and achieve all-round comprehensive literacy improvement." Zhang Pengfeng said.

The photo exhibition of the film "Students" was unveiled at the Guangdong Wildlife specimens and Science Exhibition

An exhibition of wildlife specimens and science in Guangdong Province was on display at South China Agricultural University in May. Recently, teachers and students of South China Agricultural University,

Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and other universities visited Guangdong Province wildlife specimens and science exhibition. The exhibition activity was initiated by the Guangdong Planner,

Architect and Engineer Volunteer Association (hereinafter referred to as the Guangdong "Three Teachers" Volunteer Association), aiming to help teachers and students understand the history of education and resistance in South China, and contribute young people to the green ecological construction of Guangdong.

The exhibition is presented in the form of specimens, paintings, video materials and other forms, providing a multi-dimensional and concrete experience. The exhibition of the documentary film "Students" has aroused the attention of teachers and students.

"Students" presents the history of many schools in South China during the Anti-Japanese War, and Jiang Ying, recorded in the film, is the ancestor who made contributions to plant science.

The picture of an oil painting at the exhibition site is Jiang Ying, one of the important figures in the movie "Students". Jiang Yingshi, a professor at the Institute of Agriculture and Forestry Plants of National Sun Yat-sen University,

is a famous botanist and one of the founders of modern plant taxonomy in China. During the period of anti-Japanese education in northern Guangdong Province, Jiang Ying guarded the green treasure of the motherland with firm belief and profound knowledge,

and made outstanding contributions to the development of botany in China. He led his students to trek through the mountains and forests of northern Guangdong to collect plant specimens, and conducted detailed collection and classification of plants in Lingnan.

Before the Japanese army occupied Pingshi, more than 40,000 specimens were promptly transferred to the mountain village 20 miles away, and after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War,

these specimens were transported back to Guangzhou. According to years of research, Jiang Ying found out the resources of China's native snake root wood and its near source species, and made pioneering contributions to China's medical industry.

After learning about the history of Anti-Japanese War education in northern Guangdong, the students were moved by the spirit of their ancestors. "Even though they were displaced in the midst of war,

our ancestors insisted on professional requirements, collected specimens, identified plants, and persisted in scientific research. This is an admirable spirit of scientific research."

Qi, a student from South China Agricultural University, said, "This year marks the 115th anniversary of Huanong University. The photo exhibition shows the school's long history of education and scientific research from a macro historical perspective."

Qi has also been paying attention to the dynamics of the documentary film "Students", "such a film with good social benefits, I hope to pass more positive energy to the young people of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and we can communicate more in the future."

Wu Yongbin, professor of Forestry College of South China Agricultural University, said that the content of the exhibition is also closely related to what Guangdong Province's "three Teachers" Volunteer Association has done in recent years.

In the years of war, our ancestors were still able to persist in scientific research and collection of specimens. "Today, we present these plants in various forms of expression, such as specimens, oil paintings,

gouache paintings, etc., which is another way to pay tribute to our ancestors." In Wu Yongbin's view, the exhibition, as one of the series of activities to celebrate the 115th anniversary of South China Agricultural University,

is conducive to deepening teachers and students' understanding of history, enhancing the sense of professional belonging, and conducive to the inheritance and development of the discipline.

Liang Diyu, vice president of Art Education College of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and vice president of Guangdong Province's "Three Teachers" Volunteer Association, believes that "plants are scientific, both artistic expression,

scientific and technological components, and humanistic literacy." In the age of information fragmentation, the form of film can make the public more intuitive to perceive this history.
