At the event, Guo spoke about his "scientific life" : he was fond of literature since childhood, and went out of his beloved hometown to study and work; Work transferred to the diplomatic front,
went to Somalia embassy post; After returning to China, he was transferred to the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He told the stories of Zhao Zhongyao, Qian Xuesen, Qian Sanqiang and other scientists with emotion,
making the audience deeply feel that on the journey of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, generation after generation of scientific and technological workers have a heart for the motherland and the people, are not afraid of difficulties, and have the spirit of selfless dedication.
He concluded: "Scientific achievement cannot be achieved without spiritual support. The scientist spirit embodied by the Chinese scientists, especially the spirit of patriotic dedication,
seeking truth from facts, scientific and technological innovation, courage to climb, unity and cooperation, and reward post-learning, is the most precious treasure of the Chinese national spirit."
Guo, honorary chairman of the Federation of Literature and Art of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, enjoys special government subsidies from The State Council and is known as the "Chinese poet of science".
He served as attache of the Chinese Embassy in Somalia and secretary of the Party Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. During his tenure, Guo met many scientists, worked with scientists,
and was affected by the spirit of scientists every day, which inspired Guo's motivation for literary creation. Up to now, Guo has published more than 100 works of poetry, prose, documentary literature,
popular science, calligraphy and painting, and edited more than 200 works, showing China's major scientific and technological achievements in different times and different scientific fields, and the spirit of outstanding scientists.
Guo said affectionately, "I am 83 years old. He has done only one thing in his life: to serve science, to serve scientists. The five words' science and the motherland 'carry the pursuit,
ideal and value of my life." Fighting against cancer, putting limited time into infinite creation, for the scientific communication of the motherland, Guo Yuefang with amazing perseverance, full of surging writing enthusiasm and passion, non-stop writing, excellent work.
At the end of the lecture, Guo encouraged the younger generation: "In the new era, the new mission, the new vision, the new trust, we must seize the new quality of productivity this leading, seize the commanding heights of the world's science and technology,
