The world's first museum established in the name of the state for scientists, the Chinese Scientist Museum, will be officially opened to the majority of scientists and the public on May 30, "National Science and Technology Workers Day", and hold the museum's first exhibition activities.

May 30, 2024 is the eighth "National Science and Technology Workers Day", the China Association for Science and Technology held a press conference in Beijing on the afternoon of May 23 to announce the above information and said that the Chinese Scientist Museum is a platform to provide public services for the public, especially science and technology workers, and is a platform to store and study the history of national science and culture.

The Museum of Chinese Scientists is located in the National Science and Technology Communication Center in the cultural complex of the Beijing Olympic Center. Built by the China Association for Science and Technology,

it integrates the functions of "collection, collection, research, display, education and publicity", and is committed to becoming a national museum that displays the image of Chinese scientists, promotes the spirit of scientists and builds the spirit palace of scientific and technological workers.

It covers letters, manuscripts, scientific instruments, works, audio and video, as well as cultural relics and documents related to major events in China's scientific and technological development and other precious historical materials of Chinese scientists in the process of academic growth,

and has become the largest, richest and most extensive collection project library of scientists' precious historical materials in China. It has provided rich collection resources and solid foundation for the construction of the Museum of Chinese scientists.

Meng Lingyun, deputy director of the Science and Technology Communication Center of the China Association for Science and Technology, said that the Chinese Scientist Museum will open to the public and hold the first series of activities at the same time,

including 1 main exhibition and 5 special exhibitions, and the curatorial content will complement and echo each other, with a total exhibition area of 5,000 square meters.

Among them, the main exhibition is divided into two major exhibition sections: "The backbone of the Republic" collection collection exhibition of Chinese Scientists Museum and the collection exhibition of old scientists' Academic growth data collection project.

Based on the first research results of the collection project of old scientists' academic growth data, more than 400 pieces (sets) of physical objects and more than 400 precious pictures of more than 190 scientists are displayed. As well as more than 10 large exhibits provided by relevant scientific research institutions, the exhibition area is 1,900 square meters.
