Get ready! The broadcast of the opening ceremony of the Asian Games will achieve multiple historical firsts

The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou is about to open, and a team of more than 4500 people dispatched by China Central Television has been in place, achieving multiple historical firsts in the technical production and broadcasting presentation of the opening ceremony of the Asian Games.

On the morning of September 23rd, Shen Haixiong, Deputy Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China and Director of China Central Television, inspected the broadcasting and reporting of the opening ceremony of the Asian Games at the main media center of the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Shen Haixiong and his delegation visited the main media center, the main broadcasting agency operation center, and the front reporting area of China Central Television to inspect the implementation of various work, visit frontline editors, reporters, and technical teams, and listen to reports on the preparation of event broadcasting channels, production of public signals, and operation of the main broadcasting agency.

Jiang Wenbo, a member of the editorial meeting of the Central Television, Huang Haifeng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Hangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Minister of Propaganda Department, and Commander of the Main Media Center, Qi Xiaohu, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hangzhou Municipal People's Congress and Executive Commander of the Hangzhou Asian Games News and Propaganda Command Center, as well as relevant officials from the Asian Olympic Council, participated in the inspection.

Shen Haixiong said that the Hangzhou Asian Games is the largest and highest level international comprehensive sports event held in China after the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The reporting team of the headquarters should deeply grasp the importance of doing a good job in broadcasting and reporting on this competition, especially regarding the broadcasting of the opening ceremony as a major political task. They should adhere to higher goals, requirements, and standards, fully utilize the "5G+4K/8K+AI" technological innovation achievements of the headquarters based on the characteristics of the Hangzhou Asian Games opening ceremony, promote the application of 4K/8K ultra high definition digital broadcasting, closely coordinate, and implement precise policies, Ensure smooth broadcasting and panoramic display of the grand atmosphere and grand scene of the opening ceremony.

Shen Haixiong emphasized the need to fully promote the work spirit of excellence, meticulousness, and pursuit of perfection in the main station, and carry out comprehensive and three-dimensional coverage of the Asian Games events, showcasing the broadcasting ability, technological innovation strength, and comprehensive service ability of the main station. Through the production of 8K international public signals for events such as the opening ceremony and athletics, we aim to demonstrate the application of international industry standards such as 3D Jingcai sound and 8K dynamic broadcasting, and present a magnificent, grand, and heart shaking audio-visual event to the global audience, leaving behind a wonderful and colorful memory of Hangzhou.

For the first time in its history, China Central Radio and Television (CCTV) has undertaken the service of the main broadcasting agency for the Asian Games. For the first time, it has achieved full 4K/8K production of the opening ceremony, combined with virtual reality to visually present the ignition, and used dual channel broadcasting vehicles in the front field to ensure uninterrupted broadcasting.

At 8:00 pm on September 23, the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou will be held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium. CCTV Comprehensive Channel, News Channel, Finance Channel, Sports Channel, Sports Event Channel, Olympic Channel, 4K/8K Ultra HD Channel and other TV channels on the main station, as well as new media platforms such as CCTV News, CCTV Video, CCTV Network, and CCTV Sports, as well as broadcasting frequencies such as Voice of China, Global Information Broadcasting, and South China Sea Voice, as well as the national "Hundred Cities and Thousand Screens" public large screen, will simultaneously broadcast the opening ceremony.
