A loud noise is coming out! A car explosion occurred at the US Canada border, resulting in 2 deaths and 1 injury

According to CNN, on the 22nd local time, an explosion occurred on the Rainbow Bridge over Niagara Falls, located on the border between Canada and the United States. Two people died in the car and one border patrol officer was injured. Subsequently, the Rainbow Bridge connecting the United States and Canada was closed on the American side.

According to reports, at around 11:51 am on the same day, an explosion occurred on the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls, and the "loud bang" of the explosion could be heard at the scene. On site photos show that the border station has been severely damaged, with charred fragments scattered on the ground.

According to reports, several hours after the vehicle explosion, New York State Governor Kathy Hochull stated at a press conference that two people died in the car and a border patrol officer was injured.

"I want to make it very clear to Americans and New Yorkers that there is currently no sign of a terrorist attack," Hochul said. The car was "basically burned down," with only the engine and some car debris scattered at the scene.

In addition, Hochul stated that this car may be related to a resident in the western part of New York State. The authorities believe that the car may have come from a casino, but Hochul is currently unable to confirm its source.

According to multiple law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation, the video reviewed by the authorities showed that the vehicle in question suddenly accelerated as it entered the Rainbow Bridge on the US side, then collided with the roadside, ran over obstacles, fell and exploded.

The US Customs and Border Protection said that after the accident, the US Canada cross-border bridge near Niagara Falls was closed, and other traffic has been restored. Only the Rainbow Bridge in the area where the accident occurred is still closed.
