World Digital Economy Forum held in Shenzhen to explore global sustainable development

On November 25th, one of the parallel forums of the 5th World Forum on Science and Technology and Development, the World Digital Economy Forum, was successfully held in Shenzhen. The forum, with the theme of "Digital Economy: Driving Force for Sustainable Development of the World Economy", revolves around six major topics: "World Economy and Digital Economy", "Frontier Technology of Digital Economy", "Strengthening the Talent Base of Digital Economy", "Digital Economy Infrastructure", "Digital Economy Cooperation and Governance", and "Global Cooperation in the Development of Digital Economy", focusing on major development issues of common concern to the international community, Exploring digital technology empowering global sustainable development, promoting global digital economic cooperation, and making substantial contributions to achieving sustainable global economic development.

Wang Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, Zhu Min, Chairman of the World Digital Economy Forum and Executive Director of the Board of Directors of the World Economic Forum, Peter Major, Vice Chairman of the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development, and Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, delivered speeches respectively. Chen Yong, academician of the CAE Member and chairman of Guangdong Association for Science and Technology, presided over the opening ceremony.

Zhu Min, President of the World Digital Economy Forum and Executive Director of the Board of Directors of the World Economic Forum, Gong Ke, former President of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and Executive Director of the China New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Strategy Institute, Thomas Sargent, Professor of Economics and Business at New York University, Gao Wen, academician of the CAE Member, and Jack Tangala, academician of the National Academy of Engineering, Ding Wenhua, academician of the CAE Member, and many other experts and scholars made wonderful reports.

Centering on the two themes of "intensive training of digital economy 'talent base'" and "global cooperation in the development of digital economy", Chen Qingquan, an academician of the CAE Member, Xue Qikun, an academician of the CAS Member, Mao Junfa, an academician of the CAS Member, Ma Jun, deputy secretary-general of the Academic Committee of the Development Research Center of the State Council, Shi Yong, an academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, an academician of the Academy of Sciences of Developing Countries, and Yu Fei, an academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Tsinghua University Hon Hai Chair Professor Feng Juan and others conducted in-depth dialogue.
