Once again "sidelined", Russia has been kicked out of the IMO Council

The General Assembly of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), headquartered in London, United Kingdom, has elected China, Greece, Italy, Japan, Liberia, Norway, Panama, South Korea, United Kingdom and the United States as members of the agency's Governing Council for 2024-2025.

Russia lost the election and its seat was given to Liberia.

In fact, the "exclusion" of Russia is not the "patent" of IMO, as early as October 2022, at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) General Assembly held in Montreal, Russia failed to obtain the 86 votes needed to remain in the organization's council, thus losing the status of the organization's council member.

Earlier, in March 2022, the Russian Classification Society was also cancelled by the International Association of Classification Societies.

It came as a shock that Russia lost its voice in the International Court of Justice because its representative was not elected as a judge for the first time. Russia's delegate was defeated by Romania's former Foreign Minister, Bogdan.

And just a short time ago, Russia was sidelined in another important UN agency!

That body is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization! For the first time in the history of UNESCO, Russia was not elected to the Executive Board of its central body.

This is indeed a bit shocking ah, a world's second strongest military power, a member of the UN Security Council "five permanent", how can one after another be ostracized by international organizations? Is there really no place for Russia in the world?

Of course, Russia certainly does not care about these things, Russia has never lost anything, Russia's war against Ukraine is a gain of sovereignty, and it does not matter if it is shut out of the world.
