Zhu Xuemei, a professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Guangdong University of Technology, is looking forward to the documentary film "Students"

The launch of the documentary film "Students" is conducive to encouraging the younger generation to feel the glorious spirit of their ancestors and actively take root in the front line to carry out research work."

Taking root in the front line for research is also continuously promoted by the Guangdong "Three Divisions" Volunteer Association. Since 2014, the "Three Divisions" professional volunteer service activities have been carried out to help Guangdong's rural revitalization, cultural heritage protection and utilization and other aspects of development by going deep into the rural grassroots.

Zhu Xuemei, a professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Guangdong University of Technology, is looking forward to the documentary film "Students".

She believes that not only students in planning, architecture, engineering and other related professional colleges need to understand this history, but also through the communication power of the film, more students and the public understand the history of education and resistance to war in South China.

Top scientists gather, Nobel Prize level project landing... The 2024 Green Ecological Innovation Conference was held in Big Zero Bay

On the morning of May 25, the two-day "2024 Green Ecological Innovation Conference" opened in Shanghai's Big Zero Bay Science and Technology Innovation Building, including Nobel Prize winners, academicians of China's two houses,

more than 500 Chinese and foreign scientists and experts and scholars in industrial, academic and research fields gathered together to seek green ecological innovation and development. Chen Yujian, deputy mayor of Shanghai and Secretary of Minhang District Party Committee, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Nobel Prize-level project "Click Chemistry" and other contracts landed on the "Big Zero Bay", which is expected to quickly produce a series of innovative results. At the same time, the conference announced the establishment of the "Big Zero Bay" green technology innovation alliance.

As a high-level academic conference, the 2024 Green Ecological Innovation Conference will focus on "Ecological Innovation: With the theme of "New quality, Productivity and New Momentum",

academicians and experts of the two Chinese academies led the planning of six special conferences of the three sub-forums of green carbon science, ecological environment science and biomedical science,

and scientists brought the latest field trends and the most cutting-edge scientific research achievements, contributing Chinese wisdom to promoting global ecological environment governance and green sustainable development.

The conference was guided by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Municipal Science and Technology Association and the Minhang District Government, and co-sponsored by the Big Zero Bay Science and Technology Innovation Policy Source Functional Area Management Committee, the World's Top Scientists Association (WLA, Chinese abbreviation "Top Science Association") and the Green Catalysis Expert think tank.

Bai Chunli, President of the conference, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, former president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor of the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,

said at the opening ceremony that the climate crisis is an urgent global issue, and it is urgent for all countries to join hands and make joint efforts through global cooperation, technological innovation, transformation of consumption and production patterns, and raising public awareness.

It is hoped that through the conference, we will grasp the cutting-edge development trend of green technology innovation in the world, firmly seize and make good use of the historical opportunity of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, promote exchanges and cooperation, and lead green and high-quality development with scientific and technological innovation.

Speaking on behalf of the WLA, Professor Michael Levitt, the 2013 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry and Vice President of the WLA, said that only through the development of science and technology can humanity find new ways to meet the resource needs of population development without damaging the Earth's environment, "the solution must be global. Not locally; All sectors need to work together to ensure that future generations have a better world than the present."

WLA- Green Catalysis expert think tank Science and technology base first project settled in "Big Zero Bay". Since its establishment in November 2017, WLA has always been committed to promoting international scientific exchange and cooperation, taking root in Shanghai and actively expanding spillover effects.

The Nobel Prize project "Click Chemistry" was introduced into "Big Zero Bay" in Minhang District by WLA and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The "Click Chemistry" IP series was developed by the team of Professor Karl Barry Sharpless,

member of the WLA Steering Committee and winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2022&2001, and Professor Jiajia Dong, Institute of Translational Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

It has broad prospects in promoting basic scientific research and transformation applications in the field of biomedicine, and is expected to promote disruptive innovation and change in the industry.

At the same time, led by Wu Yundong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of Tianmuhu Health Research Institute, Chen Kaixian, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Institute of Maternology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and former R&D leaders of head pharmaceutical companies in the United States formed a core team.
