From May 16 to 19, the exhibition of fine projects of the Education Foundation of the University of Science and Technology of China was held in the East Water Lecture Hall.
In order to welcome the 2024 Science and Technology Week and respond to the theme of "Promoting the spirit of Scientists and Stimulating the innovation vitality of the whole society", the Education Foundation held the first offline exhibition to introduce the purpose and philosophy of the Education Foundation.Examples of selected public welfare projects supported by the ten fund brands, such as key innovation, talent team building, top-of-the-line talent training, and rural revitalization, are vividly presented to the audience,
aiming to carry forward the charity culture, inherit the spirit of "serving the country through science and education and pursuing excellence", and guide teachers, students and the public to care about,
participate in and support educational public welfare undertakings in various forms. Participate in the goal of building a high-quality world-class university with Chinese characteristics and HKUST style.
In addition to the project exhibition, the Education Foundation gives full play to the advantages of public fundraising foundations, and sets up another donation experience point at the exhibition site to make directed donations for the public welfare projects of "Zhangfan Primary School Basketball Court Renovation in Jinzhai County" under Chunhui Fund and "Double First-class Student Association Concert" under Liuyi Fund.
On the day of the Science and Technology Activity Week, the exhibition attracted a large number of students and parents to visit, and many visitors spontaneously supported public welfare projects, setting off a donation boom,
and many children took the initiative to donate their pocket money to support the China University of Science and Technology to help primary schools in poor counties. Through donations,
we sow the seeds of love, harvest gratitude, and light up the hope of the future together. During the exhibition, nearly 200 people participated in the on-site donation, which injected their valuable strength to support the revitalization of rural areas and the dissemination of campus culture.

On May 18-19, the 10th National Forum for Young Scholars on Social Security, sponsored by the Chinese Society of Social Security, organized by the Youth Committee of the Chinese Society of Social Security and the China Social Security Research Center of Renmin University of China,
and co-organized by the editorial Department of Social Security Review, was held in Beijing. The theme of this conference is "Social Security Theory and Practice with Chinese Characteristics: Discipline, Scholarship and Discourse".
More than 180 representatives of young experts, scholars and doctoral students from more than 80 universities and research institutions, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the conference.
Economic work opportunities and challenges coexist
In his speech, Professor Lin Shangli, President of Renmin University of China, pointed out that the concept of social security originated in the West and formed a huge welfare state system, which stabilized the market economy and democratic politics in Western countries.
