Today (November 30) afternoon, the First World Science Intelligence Competition Award ceremony and Shanghai Science Intelligence Young Scientists Forum was held in Fudan University.

Artificial intelligence is a strategic technology leading a new round of global scientific and technological revolution and industrial change. In the new era of the integration of "big computing power", "big data" and "big knowledge", ai for science, as one of the hot fields, will have epoch-making significance for the paradigm change of basic science research.

Under the guidance of Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Commission, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Fudan University and Shanghai Institute of Scientific Intelligence based on the open capability of cfff platform, invited Alibaba Cloud, China Telecom and Cloud Institute of China ICT Institute to jointly release the first World Scientific Intelligence Competition on June 27 to empower scientific discovery with artificial intelligence.

Promote scientific development through original innovation. Since the launch of the competition, the five tracks of life science, atmospheric science, materials science, fluid mechanics and quantum chemistry have attracted 11,653 players from all over the world. In the morning, 30 teams participated in the finals at Fudan University, and finally decided the first, second and third prizes, the Best Innovation award and the special award of "Star Scholars".

Xu Lei, Vice President of Fudan University, presided over the award ceremony.

At the ceremony, the Shanghai Institute of Scientific Intelligence and Ali Cloud Computing Co., Ltd. signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement. Qi Yuan, dean of Shanghai Institute of Scientific Intelligence, Fudan University Artificial Intelligence and Industry Research Institute, and Shen Longrui, general manager of Aliyun Shanghai teaching and Research industry, signed the agreement; Jin Li, Wang Ye, Sun Zhenrong, Ge Dongbo, Wang Zhihua, Han Fei, and Wu Libo, chairman of the Shanghai Institute of Scientific Intelligence, witnessed the signing.
