Sponsored by the Curriculum Materials Research and Development Center of China National Institute of Education Sciences and hosted by Education Science Press and Guangzhou Institute of Education, the "2023 National Training Seminar on Education Edition Science" was held in Guangzhou from 26th to 27th. The theme of this conference is "Science Teaching towards the Cultivation of Core Literacy".

Yu Fayou, vice president of the China National Institute of Education Sciences, pointed out that science education is the main position to improve the scientific literacy of all the people and cultivate innovative talents, and it is the driving force to build a powerful country in science and technology, education and talent. Science education is not only to spread knowledge, but more importantly to let students form scientific literacy and learn scientific methods.

The goal of science classroom is to stimulate students' drive, cultivate students' persistence in learning, and realize the inquiring, experiential and interactive curriculum form.

He stressed the need to strengthen technological empowerment, so that students in different regions can share high-quality resources and provide personalized science education services.

Zhou Zhonghe, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and editor-in-chief of science textbooks for Education, started from four aspects: "Why should we pay attention to curiosity", "the historical origin of curiosity, innovation and education", "Where has our curiosity gone" and "the enlightenment of primary school science education".

This paper interprets the relationship between curiosity, education and innovation, reflects on the existing problems in science education, and puts forward suggestions on how to better carry out science education in primary schools.

The conference focused on experimental teaching, and set up three special reports on experimental teaching, "Analysis of the trend of experimental teaching in primary and secondary schools," "Ideas and Methods of scientific experiment Practice,"

and "Experimental Teaching showing teachers' teaching concepts." As well as "Building a home for silkworm babies -" Animal Life "intelligent observation warehouse", "Watching the film and chasing the sun - teachers and students to build a model of the Sun's annual visual motion trajectory" two wonderful presentations.

Focusing on the four topics of scientific thinking teaching, interdisciplinary concept teaching,

large unit teaching and engineering practice teaching, the experts at the meeting made a teaching micro discussion, and carried out a lesson demonstration and a lesson discussion.
