The reporter learned from the recent research activities conducted by the media organized by the China Association for Science and Technology into the "Zhejiang" scientist community that the Ningbo Association for Science and Technology gives full play to the resource advantages of the "hometown of academicians" and takes the construction of the Ningbo academician culture and the construction of the scientist spiritual education base and research base as an important focus.

With the goal of promoting the spirit of scientists to see people, see things, feel and learn, since the end of the 1990s, we have continued to carry out the construction of the platform carrier of the spirit of scientists, cultural connotation mining and publicity and education.

In terms of in-depth exploration of the spiritual and cultural connotation of scientists, Ningbo Association for Science and Technology, together with Ningbo Bang Museum, Ningbo Scientific Exploration Center, Ningbo Academician Cultural Research Center, Ningbo Yongshang Celebrity Culture Research Institute and other units, and China Association for Science and Technology Innovation Strategy Research Institute to build a "science, culture and scientist spirit Ningbo Research Base", focusing on the exploration of Ningbo's scientific and cultural endowment. The implementation of the Ningbo academician culture construction project, has completed the collection and collation of valuable historical materials and objects related to Ningbo scientists such as Academician Chai Zhifang and Academician Shen Ziyin, and formed the research results of "Ningbo Medical Scientists Data Collation", "Dai Chuanzeng Memorial Collection", "Academician Zheng Zhemin Scientist Spirit Research" and other topics.

Completed the Research and Investigation Report on the Status of Academician Yongji's Old (old) Residence, held the special exhibition of Academician Dai Chuanzeng, the Calligraphy exhibition of Academician Chai Zhifang, the commemorative activities and special exhibition of Mr. Weng Wenhao, the founder of the Geological Society of China, the commemorative activities of Gu Fangzhou Series of "People Scientists" and the seminar on Gu Fangzhou Spirit, and implemented the academician oral history project.

Since its establishment in 2013, the Ningbo Academician Cultural Research Center has carried out the basic work of promoting the spirit of scientists in an all-round and multi-level way, such as rescuing, digging and sorting out biographies and oral materials of scientists. Now it has developed into a research center of Ningbo Research Base of Science, Culture and Scientist Spirit of China Association for Science and Technology.
