Wang Yi said that since the outbreak of the current round of conflict, China has been calling for a ceasefire and an end to the fighting, stressing that only the implementation of the two-state solution can solve the problem. The conflict has caused an unprecedented humanitarian disaster. The international community needs to take more active actions to promote a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire. China hopes that the temporary ceasefire will be the beginning of a lasting ceasefire. Wang Yi called on the international community to take more concrete actions to protect civilians... In addition to presiding over the meeting, Wang Yi also met with representatives of Middle Eastern countries at the UN headquarters. Including Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed, Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal, Palestinian Foreign Minister Khalid al-Maliki and so on. During the visit, foreign ministers from Arab and Islamic countries visited China a few days ago, during which the two sides had in-depth discussions on the Palestinian-Israeli issue and reached important consensus. China's position is clear and firm, that is, there should be a complete ceasefire and cessation of fighting, not a resumption of fighting. The different treatment of Chinese and German officials in the Middle East may have a big bearing on their attitudes to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
