After the Security Council meeting, Kim Yo-jong appeared and said North Korea was ready for a thorough confrontation

According to the KCNA report, Kim Yo Jong, vice minister of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and sister of Kim Jong UN, delivered a statement harshly criticizing the Security Council's DPRK-related resolutions. This is the first time in four months that Kim Yo Jong has made a statement.

Kim Yoo-jong said that because of the conspiratorial activities of the United States and its followers, the UN Security Council has lost its principles and turned into a "dark world where double standards are shamelessly pursued and injustice is alone," which she firmly opposes and strongly condemns. She said U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Robert Greenfield has called North Korea's space development rights "illegal" and described the United States as a "victim," and defended his "meaningful dialogue" stance and "efforts for a peaceful resolution."

The Pentagon's deployment of nuclear aircraft carriers, submarines and military provocations on the Korean Peninsula stands in stark contrast to the US rhetoric of "diplomatic engagement and renewed dialogue." The two positions and practices of the United States, which are inconsistent with its words and deeds, are extreme double standards of hegemonic power and a malignant factor undermining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula. Kim Yo Jong stressed that no matter what the circumstances, the sovereignty of a country can not be a negotiation issue, it is not the negotiating table. The major threat to international peace and security is not North Korea's exercise of its sovereign rights, but the United States' pursuit of power politics.

Kim Yo-jong pointed out that the DPRK's efforts to safeguard national sovereignty rights will not stop, and the DPRK will exercise the sovereign rights enjoyed by UN member states without restriction. If the "peace through strength" advocated by the United States is "dialogue in the open and the use of force in the dark," then the DPRK will be prepared for both dialogue and confrontation, especially more thoroughly prepared for confrontation, which is also the DPRK's consistent position toward the United States.

The Security Council meeting that Kim Yo Jong criticized refers to the Security Council meeting on nuclear non-proliferation held on the 27th, the main topic is to discuss the reconnaissance satellite launched by the DPRK. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Robert Greenfield told the meeting that maintaining international peace and security is the mission of the Security Council, but North Korea is "undermining the authority of the Security Council." South Korea's representative, Hwang Joon-gook, who also attended the meeting, said the North's "provocations" had gone beyond the region to become a global issue. However, the North Korean representative said that with 5,000 satellites in orbit, North Korea is exercising its sovereignty by using the same technology as the West to launch satellites, and that the United States is violating its sovereignty by depriving North Korea of the right to launch satellites. As China and Russia objected to the proposal and accused the U.S. of trying to drive North Korea to a corner, the agreement failed to produce a statement or resolution.

The reason why the United States reacted so strongly to North Korea's satellite launch is that when North Korea has reconnaissance satellites, the strategic deterrence of the United States and South Korea on the Korean Peninsula will be greatly reduced. South Korea used satellite technology provided by the United States to monitor the North's military deployment and movements, but the North was unable to know the deployment. After North Korea successfully launched a satellite, the advantage of the United States and South Korea has been greatly reduced, and once North Korea launches an attack on South Korea with satellite technology, it will be impossible to defend against. What's more, North Korea also announced that satellites had taken photos of the White House, the Pentagon, and several U.S. military bases and aircraft carriers, and that North Korean leader Kim Jong UN had viewed the photos, which undoubtedly put a lot of pressure on the United States.
