Michelle Yeoh arrives at Balenciaga's Spring 25 collection in a couture silver jacket

It was a rainy night for Balenciaga's Shanghai Spring 25 show, but the misty overcast couldn't hide the smile in Michelle Yeoh's eyes. Wearing a chic new silver chain mail gown, she was doing everything right. In November, the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star joined Isabelle Huppert and Kim Kardashian as a Balenciaga brand ambassador, a role she sees as the start of "an amazing journey".

"I joined a creative brand whose values are exactly the same as mine, and we were able to work very well together."

The newly minted Oscar-winning actress admitted that the success of The In the Moment has only increased her fashion star during awards season. "And, of course, the amazing looks."

Michelle Yeoh's Spring 25 collection came from a collection of experimental semi-couture and couture dresses.

Some of the dresses in the Spring 25 collection were made from 10-year-old plastic bags, wardrobe covers and patchwork travel bags, but Michelle Yeoh's chainmail gown was a statement of ultimate oporance.

This dazzling spring gown was somewhat of a glitzy echo of the foil gown she wore at the Met Gala, but compared to the Met Gala stars, the Spring 25 collection launch show was all Yeoh's night.

The assistant who accompanied her all the way under an umbrella is the most classic sign, highlighting the traditional Hollywood celebrity style, Yeoh said he was like wearing a set of tight "high order armor", "ready to go".

If a drop of rain fell on that clear, smooth hair, the umbrella assistant would probably have a long shot against the dancer-trained martial arts queen.

Look like a superstar!

"Wearing Balenciaga has always made me feel extraordinary and powerful because Demna's designs are so avant-garde and at the same time so comfortable to wear."

Yeoh added, specifically mentioning the 51st season of the Haute Couture collection in Paris in 2022, which was her bonding moment with Balenciaga.

Ms. Yeoh raves about some of the highlights of the new season's haute couture collections, including silhousilhoues modeled after the skyscrapers lining Pudong and deconstructed versions of Balenciaga's classic hourglass silhouette, such as a gown made from old plastic bags. As is his custom, Demna doesn't read too much into his work.

The shining shape is lined with the "Shimmer Landscape" show of Pudong Art Museum.

The Queen in "high order armor" is "ready for battle."

It is this quiet confidence that makes Yeoh feel at ease, and she herself "enjoys peace and quiet." "It's that moment of being in your own fantasy world, imagining and creating something beautiful." She emphasizes a friendship built on thoughtfulness and understanding rather than social media following.

At first, Demna was anxious - the weather was overwhelming - but then he came around and found that the drirain "actually added an uncontrollable poetic layer to the initial Balenciaga experience that I wanted to create in Shanghai."

Yeoh, too, refused to be restrained: she slipped away in a "disguise" of a hoodie, sweatpants, baggy Rodeo bag and Circuit sneakers, but with just weeks to go before the start of the new season of couture shows, it's only a matter of time before the most elegant and fearless actress will be back on the fashion stage. She is a natural Balenciaga brand ambassador.

Balenciaga's classic long coat further enhances the visual impact of Michelle Yeoh's silver armour gown.

Yeoh pointed out that Demna's fashion looks are not only edgy, but also comfortable to wear.
