On May 20, Tongji University High Speed Rail and station City Integration Research Institute was inaugurated. The Institute will gather the superior resources of all parties, focus on the key issues in the technological innovation of high-speed railway and the integrated development of railway stations and cities,

and strive to build a scientific and innovation platform for the integration of multi-disciplines, a transformation carrier for the integration and complementarity of resources, a training base for innovative talents,

and a high-end think tank for industry development research, so as to contribute Tongji wisdom and strength to enabling the new quality of railway productivity and high-quality urban development.

Lu Chunfang, chairman of China Railway Society and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Fang Shouen, Party secretary of Tongji University jointly unveiled the academy.

delivered speeches respectively, saying that high-speed railway, as a national strategic, leading and key major infrastructure, is an important engine to accelerate the construction of a powerful transportation country,

The reporter learned from Tongji University that the institute implements the dean responsibility system under the leadership of the Council, and Zheng Jian, the former chief engineer of China Railway Group,

serves as the first president. The institute set up an expert committee, and Zhu Hehua, distinguished professor of Tongji University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, served as the director of the expert committee.

The institute will focus on safety resilience, digital intelligence, green low-carbon and high-speed rail economy, and set up seven interdisciplinary research teams, including intelligent construction of high-speed rail infrastructure,

operation and maintenance of high-speed rail infrastructure, urban integration planning and design of high-speed rail stations, intelligent transportation of high-speed rail hubs, intelligent operation control of high-speed rail,

environmental protection and human health along the high-speed rail, and investment and financing of high-speed rail projects. The Institute will also cooperate with universities, enterprises and other relevant units of the "Belt and Road" co-construction country to strengthen exchanges and cooperation,

carry out the high-speed rail construction of the "Belt and Road" co-construction country and related practices of station and city integration, serve the internationalization process of China's high-speed rail technical standards, and enhance the global influence of China's railways.The Party's practice of promoting the construction of modern civilization of the Chinese nation
